Mental Health Campaigner
In January 2018 my brother ended his own life. I was forced to carry out resuscitation for almost half an hour before the mass of emergency services arrived. I was faced with a choice in the weeks and months following this. I could continue on the path I was on, feeling like a victim, or I could concentrate my pain on campaigning to ensure this doesn't happen to another family, to ensure that another boy doesn't have to speak at the funeral of his younger brother. I think it's clear which option I chose.
